TIME CRIMES

Hector's attempt to enjoy a lazy afternoon with his wife at his country home goes awry in the time travel thriller TIME CRIMES.
Hector's world literally turns upside down when he spies something odd in the woods, goes to investigate and finds a nude woman. Before he is able to determine if she is dead or alive, something attacks him and he is running for his life. He ends up in an abandoned building and raises help on a radio. The voice instructs him to come to a tower up the hill. There he finds a lab technician who helps to hide him. When Hector comes out of hiding he is confused. He doesn't trust the technician. He flees. What follows is a little bit of MEMENTO, a little bit of RUN LOLA RUN and a whole lot of 'B' time travel work.
Although there was at least one good plot twist Time Crimes just reminded me of too many other films. The score was bombastic and down right irritating at times. I must admit music can make or break a film for me and this one was intentionally over the top I also figured out the identity of the pink bandaged stranger almost immediately which was disappointing because I was not even trying to guess. I really wanted to like this film but it was just okay. I would say too much style but not enough substance.
