I THINK I THOUGHT
Directed By Matthew Modine

A man named Joe is going through an existential crisis. He thinks too much. He ponders the meaning of life, what work really means, and other mind numbing questions of the universe. He soon discovers that thinking can cause problems in life. If he continues on the thinking man’s path he could lose his job, get divorced and have no money. He soon discovers Thinkers Anonymous and learns to thrive in a think free environment. All remain happy who do not think and let others do it for them.
Modine’s film is a diatribe to those who do not think for themselves. It is well acted and beautifully shot. His film asks you to question government, the news, everything you are told and start the process of thinking for yourself. It’s a sharp, witty and comical film that looks at the average “American Joe” and says this is what we have become.
